Today was a full blown travel day. Left Wichita Falls around 8 this morning and got here to Bloomfield, New Mexico around 6. Not a lot here in Bloomfield, but there is a Supercenter up the road in Farmington where I will go to get a couple of last minute supplies for the trip to Arches. New Mexico is mostly desert from what I've seen. But, at least it's not flat. The lady at the front desk was hoping for rain today. She said the last bit of moisture they had was a small amount of snow this past winter. It did rain but just enough to get the car wet. Went over the Continental Divide at 7,280ft. There is a little sign at that point. There is a picture at my parent's house of my sister and I at the Continental Divide further north...it was a huge sign. This was an easily missed road sign...reason for the blurriness. The whole time driving through this state I think of "Breaking Bad". It's a show that takes place here in New Mexico. It's about a high school chemistry teacher who comes down with lung cancer, and in order to pay the bills and support his family he turns to making crystal meth. It's actually pretty good. I'm a couple seasons behind, though.
Not sure what internet access I will have over the next couple days. We'll see what happens...
Good game last night. Beautiful night and we were in the Champions Club. Still full. Drive safe and have fun. Cheer on Matt in the Home Run Derby.
