Long day.  Out of the hotel by 615am and at Old Faithful by 705am.  Luckily, it erupted about 5 minutes later.  Only about a dozen people were there which worked out great.  Ran all around the geysers in that area.  Saw one that erupts every 5-7 hours and one that might erupt twice a day.  By the time I made the loop, Old Faithful was erupting again.  Drove up to the Canyon Lodge area to see Yosemite Falls.  Finished all that up by 11am and made the drive to the Tetons.  I wanted to see a buffalo before I got out and got more than I bargained for.  Four traffic jams, hundreds of buffalo, and over an hour later, I finally made it out of Yellowstone and over to Grand Teton.  Saw a bear in Grand Teton but couldn't get a good picture.  Got to Jackson, WY around 2pm and grabbed some lunch and made the drive to Winter Park, CO.  I think my car managed to kill every bug in southern Wyoming and northern Colorado.  About 30 miles of the latter part of the drive was through a national forest.  The speed limit was 45, which was down from 65.  I found out real quick why.  Bambi.  I passed 21 deer in 10 completely different groups.  Some were solitary, and the largest group was 5.  It was crazy.  How are you suppose to jam to Whitesnake and dodge deer at the same time?  Off to bed...Rocky Mountain National Park and Rockies baseball tomorrow.  Looks like I'll get a reprieve from the heat everyone is complaining about.  Mid-80s in Denver tomorrow and the same for Kansas City on Saturday.  Then it's off to Minnesota...
